I met a magician when I left the rainforest of Costa Rica. She was disguised as an American Airlines attendant, but a magician all the same. Her name was “T.T.” and if you’ve been getting my love letters, you’ll know that she shared some worry-zapping business advice that was just what I needed to hear:
“SIT BACK, RELAX AND ENJOY THE RIDE!”
T.T. called this the Thanks and Praises Prayer, and it certainly describes my journey over the past couple of months!
In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been a little lax in posting here to the blog. After making it through my first (and last!) 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, my entire focus was on getting my fanny down to Costa Rica.
I finally had to admit what I had been hiding from myself. Plan A (doing what the experts said I should be doing & ignoring my intuition) simply wasn’t working. My spark was fading. Creativity? At a standstill. I wasn’t sure how to keep the energy flowing through my business or even where I was headed as a business owner.
So I did the best thing I could think of: I stopped.
One thing I was sure of – I needed a real retreat. Like a no-cell-phone-signal sort of retreat. I needed to collect the bits and pieces of my soul that I’d spread around and form them into a person again.
I spent a glorious, soul-cleansing week with two mentors at a retreat center in the rainforest of Costa Rica (think fresh coconut juice, mangoes falling from the trees and feeling like I had all the time in the world…to meditate, do yoga, hike in the jungle and tune in to my Higher Self’s guidance on my business and life.) I came away with a new perspective that rocked me.
Listen. Take the next step. Relax about the results!
I have a clarity now that I’ve never felt before. Most important, I know my big WHY… the higher purpose for why I’m doing what I’m doing.
My focus has shifted slightly, but as a dear friend described it, it’s less of a shift away from my old focus, and more of a shift deeper into what’s been there all along.
Yes, changes are coming – both here on the blog and in my business, but fear not!
They’re steps toward my higher calling: to serve you with love.
I’m on this exciting life-ride right next to you, sister.
Like being on a roller coaster – thrilling and kinda scary at the same time.
And it’s so much more fun when we’re in it together. (Ack! There’s no way I’d get on a roller coaster without my buddies.)
To throwing our hands in the air and saying wheeeee!
