Image is everything, right?
That’s what all the fashion magazines say, or at least imply.
If you ask me, they aren’t 100% wrong. Now, before you think I’ve gone cray-cray, I think I can explain what I mean.
The image we portray to the world is a direct reflection of how we feel about ourselves. When women feel fun and flirty, we tend to wear fun and flirty outfits and accessories. When women feel upset or tired, we tend to dress in our comfort clothes. Makes perfect sense.
But what if you aren’t feeling like the radiant woman you’d really like to be? What do you do then?
Use these 3 Wardrobe super secrets, of course!
There are only 3 and you can do try one of them or all of them. Pick one and try it on for the day. You’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll start to feel more radiant and vibrant!
Wardrobe Super Secret #1: Stick with One Hue
Tops and bottoms of the same color create an uninterrupted vertical line, making you look thinner and taller. Stark contrasts between your upper and lower body draw eyes to your middle. Anytime we can draw the eye’s attention to the entire figure, we appear slimmer.
Wardrobe Super Secret #2: Use Jewelry Strategically
Long necklaces add length to a short neck and bring attention away from hips and to the front and center of your body. Stunning earrings say look at the face and not the middle. Sparkly cuffs, stacks of bangles, and cocktail rings draw the eye to wrists instead of upper arms.
A few perfectly chosen accessories can make any outfit look revved up and have you feeling radiant!
Wardrobe Super Secret #3: Choose the Right Fabrics
“Flat” materials don’t add volume. Pick cotton, silk, or wool gabardine.
Some fabrics actually help slim and shape. Try double-knit jersey, cashmere, fine cotton, and anything with a touch of spandex.
Wear bulky materials sparingly, such as wide-wale corduroy, crushed velvet, metallic, heavy denim, leather, suede, mohair, angora, brocade, taffeta or satin. Bulky clothes can add weight to your figure. I recommend a max of one piece of clothing made from bulky material with each outfit. In other words, no crushed velvet AND leather in the same outfit.
